To support individuals, families, and communities affected by crisis (e.g., unexpected shock, cost-of-living pressures, displacement, health emergencies, or social vulnerability), and those facing challenges such as language barriers, digital exclusion, social isolation, or discrimination — and specifically financial support — helping them build resilience, access essential services, and improve overall well-being. The role contributes to the objectives of the Government's Crisis Resilience Fund by delivering frontline support, strengthening community networks, and enabling sustainable recovery.

Volunteer Co-ordinator

PMF is a registered charity that specialises in meeting the needs of BME communities in Preston. The charity supports people of all ages and backgrounds and provides facilities in the interest of economic and social welfare to improve their life conditions.
The purpose of this role is to recruit and train volunteers to provide support across the organisation. The postholder will also ensure that volunteers are valued and supported, and that their experience is inclusive and accessible.
